DIVISIONS

Twinite baseball and softball divisions are divided as follows:

Single A – Intro division: This level is coed and for grades 4K and 5K. This level helps our younger players get accustomed to the game.  The schedule for games and practices are typically on Saturdays, with 45 min of practice than a 3 inning game against an opposing team immediately following practice.

Double A – Farm division: Further advances baseball fundamentals, and game situations for 1st and 2nd grade players. This level utilizes machine pitch for continuity for the kids. The games are schedule Monday – Friday. Each inning, each team will either bat through the line up or 3 outs whichever is first.  Depending on the pace of the game they will typically play 5 innings or time limit, whichever comes first.

Hardball Minors – Development division: This level is the first opportunity for players to go against kid pitching for 3rd and 4th grade players. The division is designed for the further growth of playing ability and enjoyment. Development at this level will be adding kid pitching, hitting, throwing, situational game play and more developed base running fundamentals. Games are scheduled Monday – Friday. Games are scheduled to go 6 innings, and the game time is scheduled for a duration of 1:45.  At this level is the first experience with umpire game calls.

Hardball Majors – Intermediate division: This level is our next level of growth for 5th and 6th graders.  Whereas they will continue with kid pitch, they will be experiencing more advanced game situation development, such as leading off, stolen bases, drop 3rd strikes, etc.

Hardball Seniors – Advanced division: This level is our expanded growth division for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade players.  Game play will more likely compared to traditional baseball. Games are typically scheduled from Monday – Friday in the evening. Rules and structure are much more open to allow for the players to enhance their understanding and execution of the game.

Hardball Plus – Advanced division: This level is our expanded growth division for 10th thru 12th grade boys. Game play is closely aligned with traditional baseball rules. Game schedule details are forthcoming.  This division is dependent on a minimum number of player registrations. Check our website frequently to keep up to date with developments.

Softball Juniors – Farm division: This level is open to girls only, and helps our young players pursue the game of softball for our 1st and 2nd grade girls. The game play and format will be utilizing coach pitching as well as incorporating player pitch during the season. The games will generally be 3 – 5 innings with all players batting or 3 outs, whichever comes first.

Softball Minors – Development division: This level is open to 3rd and 4th grade girls only. Similar to our hardball minors, this level introduces more live game action with player pitching. To help further the pace of the game, walks are limited to give the girls more opportunities to develop their hitting and defensive understanding of the game. Games are typically scheduled for Monday – Friday and some out of Greendale games may be scheduled.

Softball Majors – Intermediate division: This level is open to 5th and 6th grade girls only. This level incorporates additional game play development and understanding along with growing player fundamentals. Focus at this level is built around enhancing the players understanding of situational game play along with developing player fundamentals. Games are typically scheduled for Monday – Friday and some out of Greendale games may be scheduled.

Softball Seniors – Advanced division: This level is open to 7th and 8th grade girls only. This level is designed to give players a full game play experience. Greater competitive structure will allow the girls to develop a more thorough understanding of the game as well as physical fundamentals to be successful.

Softball Plus: This level is for girls only. This level is our expanded growth division for 9th thru 12th grade girls. Game play is closely aligned with traditional baseball rules. This division is dependent on a minimum number of player registrations. Check our website frequently to keep up to date with developments.
