When is registration open? Registration opens in January and closes in March.
When does the baseball and softball season start and how long does it last? Both seasons start in mid-May (weather permitting) and run through the end of July.
Do I need to purchase uniforms separately? Baseball and Softball hat and jersey are included with the registration fee.
What equipment does my player need? A player must have a baseball glove and baseball cleats. Helmets are provided by the league however most players do bring their own helmets now a days. Most players also bring their own baseball bats and sharing of baseball bats is encouraged. Catcher’s gear is provided by the league.
What days and times of the week will my child play games? All divisions, except Single A, play games Monday through Friday evenings starting at 6 pm. The Single A division plays games on Saturday mornings.
What type of bat can my player use/purchase? Bats must adhere to the following barrel guidelines:
- Single A – USA Certified, Tee Ball Bats Only
- Double A – USA Certified, Tee Ball or 2 ¼ barrel maximum
- Hardball Minors – USA Certified, 2 ⅝ barrel maximum (no drop limit)
- Hardball Majors, Seniors, Plus – USA Certified or BBCOR, 2 ¾ barrel maximum (no drop limit)
- Softball Juniors, Minors, Majors, Seniors, Plus – USA Certified Softball, 2 ¼ barrel maximum
When does the official schedule for games come out? The official schedule is generally released in early May.
Where can I find the rules? The “Greendale Twinite General Rules and Guidelines” document can be found on our Resources page here on our website. This “General Rules and Guidelines” document outlines the high-level rules and guidelines that govern all divisions of our league.
In addition to the “General Rules and Guidelines”, each Division Director can provide the rules that outline the specifics for each division.
